Reusing threw materials sometimes create a new concept of design. Designer Tejo Remy has pick 15 bags of rags and convert them into an unusual seating design called Droog Rag Chair. The chair original and interesting design is also comfortable, thanks to the use of rags and steel strips. Tejo Remy works as an independent product and interior designer in Utrecht, the Netherlands and teaches at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Utrecht.

Korean designer Jung Hwa Jin has delivered a unique unique ideas in lighting design which combines the western illumination and Korean container. Sense of suspense was expressed through the type of piled containers and there’s an electric bulb at the bottom of the container. With the language of formative arts, the expression “putting in” was drawn out. As a result, considerate contemplation was elicited through traditional properties of containers and the illumination of foreign culture.

This sculptural seating design has come from designer Ryder Architecture and have been installed at Kielder Water & Forest Park in Northumberland in North East England. The seating which entitled with Janus Chair are made from laminated Douglas fir from the Scottish borders with polished stainless steel backs. When a set of them facing inward, they will form the closed bud of a flower. Vice versa, when rotated outward, they come into full bloom.

Made from 100% biodegradable natural fiber, Compos Lobby Chair from Samuli Namaanka proposed itself as an eco friendly seating selection. The green chair doesn’t contain any inorganic materials, not even binding substances, as well as non oil-based based materials.
When the chair has been used for a long time and disposed off, the material can be milled and and used again for the production of a new product. At the end of the life cycle, the seat can also be demolished by composting it for about 80 days.
