The modular flooring furniture was a brilliant idea for the German designer, Katrin Sonnleitner . After putting her thoughts and efforts for months, finally the modular Puzzle Perser modular flooring comes to life. Puzzle Perser is essentially a do-it-yourself puzzle of a Persian rug that can legitimately be used as a floor covering.
Comprising of 1,225 pieces, the modular rug is made of a recyclable mixture of synthetic and natural rubber. After completing her internships at Designafairs GmbH in Erlangen and Emiliana Design Studio in Barcelona, the Hochschule für Gestaltung graduate and Designlabor Bremerhaven scholar, Katrin has won numerous design competitions. Back then, the modular rug flooring was first created in 2007.
