Designer Jung Hwa Jin has created the Polaroid Flower Vase, a small planter that recalls the nostalgic form of polaroid, with the plant becoming the focus of the “picture.” The planter is suspended with a clothespin on the end of a cord, with a small embedded lamp illuminating its subject. Via
Italian designer designer Cristiana Giopato has created ‘Hula Hoop’ which is a series of stackable elements, that once stacked may be used to encompass an empty wine bottle. The bottle thus becomes a one flower vase, providing it with a new guise and a new use. The elements are different in shape and by rotating them or changing the order one can change the vase’s appearance time and time again. Designer Stanislav Katz is the co-founder of the Latvian furniture manufacturer Katz. Lately, they unveiled their latest creation on storage system design called 4 Vase Cabinet. It’s made by layering CNC cut MDF, sanding baack to a smooth form and lacquering whole surface, thus creating a smooth black finish. The design really makes sense when placed in such a lush surrounding and would stand up equally well against old world antiques or contemporary modern interiors. More pictures can be found here.
London based designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby launched their latest creation of hand-blown vases which manufactured by Italian glassmakers Venini. Thee unique vases collection consists of frame which inspired by vernacular lanterns found on boats in the Venetian Lagoon. The designers launched these collection at Salone Internazionale Del Mobile 2009, featuring six, limited edition, hand-blown, glass vases comprise three vase designs, each available in two colour versions.

Vase 1 – green base (white foot), opaque white top, turquoise frame. Size – 591×337mm
Vase 2 – opaline light green base (black foot), opaline orange top, anthracite frame. Size – 520×322mm

The shape of lab equipments has inspired designer Surya Graf to create a series of Labware which can be used as glasses set or flower vase. There are two forms of Labware product: flask and beakers. Both of them are made from ceramic and available in either a gloss white or gloss black finish.
