Compos Minimalist Chair Design

Made from 100% biodegradable natural fiber, Compos Lobby Chair from Samuli Namaanka proposed itself as an eco friendly seating selection. The green chair doesn?t contain any inorganic materials, not even binding substances, as well as non oil-based based materials.

When the chair has been used for a long time and disposed off, the material can be milled and and used again for the production of a new product. At the end of the life cycle, the seat can also be demolished by composting it for about 80 days.

Eco Friendly Flow Kitchen is Minimizing Waste

Category: Kitchen By: Uli

Waste is a common problem in cooking. Most of us just dumped the food waste to the bin without recycling it first. Studio Gorm came up with an idea to solve this matter. The Flow Kitchen is a design that integrated nature and technology where drying dishes helps water plants as well as composting food waste to fertilize them.

Drying dishes hanging from a vertical storage rack drip onto herbs and edible plants, which are grown in carefully positioned containers below. A double-walled terracotta container acts as a refrigerator, keeping the inside cool as water evaporates through the outer wall, while food scraps are broken down by worms in a composter and the resulting fertilizer is used in the herb boxes to grow more food.
