Fly Chair is the latest design from French artist Patrick Norguet for Swedish manufacturer OFFECCT. The contemporary chair itself has been worked on by Norguet for four years antil he and his team found the right technology to produce the chair. A first glance at Fly makes one think of the Far East, and Norguet compares the shape of the chair to the helmet worn by Japanese samurai. Fly has an organic design language in which the fabric itself creates much of the shape by being stretched over the metal frame. Because very little energy is used to make the fabric, Fly meets OFFECCT?s high demands for sustainable production.

Designer?Flavia Pagotti Silva created this low, casual seating furniture based on the stools which used in the Brazilian countryside. As the curved metal frame supports four plywood disks, joined by pliable fabric, the result is an organically shaped stool which conforms to its user. The term “Bate Papo” is a word in Potuguese which refers to informal?conversation among acquaintances. The stool was designed to facilitate such type of casual interaction. Available at Moma Store.

British designer Chris Duffy invented the Shadow Chair which appears “defying gravity”. The chair consists of only two legs on the front, and a flat metal which at the first sight would likely appear as a shadow rather than a legging. Designer Pascal Tarabay gives this clock its own personality by scattering all the numbers within the clock in big sizes. However, if you look closely, the numbers 3, 6, 9, 12 are still intact on its position, merged with other shapes.
