What makes this lamp interesting is that it has a compact and seamless model although it was made from wood. Luz Difusion, Spanish lighting manufacturers has delivered this awesome Suomi suspension lamp into reality.

The Suomi lamp is made of 4 blocks of oak sheets, 2 cm thick, that are given a concave shape through the use of a mold. Each block is then laser cut to narrow it gradually from top to bottom. Finally the four blocks are glued together using a super resistant adhesive paste. A fire retardant varnish is then applied to the entire piece. Four steel cables pass through the interior to avoid leaving visible screws on the exterior. In this way we achieve a compact, seamless model, without joints or any other type of assembly.

Mostly influenced by arte povera, designer Ricard Estruch has unveiled his latest creation of lighting feature specially for Luz Difusion, a Spanish lighting manufacturer. This called Struk Lighting is a lighting fixture made of a steel round structure covered by pieces of white noninflammable polyethylene mesh and plastic strips in white colour too. This collection has a suspension, ceiling and wall version.

Arte Povera itself was an artistic movement born in Italy at the end of the sixties, means literaly ?poor?. This movement used to introduce not very common materials ?from industry, organic origin or common use- to make tridimensional pieces.
